WordPressIf you have been around the internet much you always hear from the guru’s that you should have a self hosted blog and that they recommend WordPress.

So 7 years ago, I took their advice and created my first WordPress blog on wordpress.com.

Turns out this was not the self hosted blog platform that was recommended. This was a blog site that just hosted your blog.

WordPress.com doesn’t particularly like network marketers, so really not the best site to use to build your business.

Case in point… I got kicked off the site. 🙁

What the guru’s really meant was that you should:

1. Purchase a Domain Name

2. Buy a hosting package for at least 1 year

3. Install WordPress onto your site and get started.

Everything made sense up till the 3rd point. How the heck do you install WordPress? And what the heck did you do next?

Why WordPress for Network Marketing Blogs

So it turns out that the reason for using WordPress is that you don’t have to be a computer genius to figure it out. There is no coding to figure out. It’s a “simple” plug and play system.

And by “simple” I mean, once someone explains how WordPress works, then all you really have to do is add a header and start blogging.

WordPress is recommended because at the end of the day you can really customize your blog to look and do the things you want it to do.

With plugins and themes the sky is the limit.

But this still may be a bit confusing to you… so let me explain…
