Yup I said it… the business of blogging!
Think about it… what is your purpose with your blog?
Last week I had this same discussion with my Blogging Ingredient students at our live training.
It is a question that comes up over and over again and I am totally okay with that. Why?
Because even I need the reminder every now and then of the purpose of my blog. Sometime we get caught up in something and lose track of our purpose.
The business of blogging is not to be taken lightly. It is a serious business, especially if you are looking at blogging to help you generate leads, make sales, even recruit more leaders.
I got so passionate about this subject that I just had to create a video to get my point across…
Business of Blogging in 2 Steps:
- Ultimately what is the purpose of your blog? It is to get leads, make a sale, or recruit a new leader? If you don’t have an definitive answer to this question your blog will ultimately fail.
- What problem are you solving? What solution are you providing? What information are you sharing?
If you are anything like me you search the web for product reviews, help, information or even entertainment. Don’t you think your prospects are doing the same?
You have got to write what you are passionate about and you have to write as though you are speaking to one person.
Those little changes in your blog and make a huge difference in your outcome.
The business of blogging is not a hard one but you do have to do some planning and know ultimately what you want to achieve with your blog.
No direction will have you struggling to build online. Get focused and write with purpose.
