Ray Higdon Reveals 3 Blog Secrets
…and I’m Telling!

Last night I had the privilege to attend a private webinar for the EMP team. Our guest speaker was Ray Higdon, sharing how to generate 20-30 leads with your blog.

Wow, was this a powerful webinar. I have been blogging for a little while now and consider myself well versed in the world of blogging but I still learned so much from Ray.

Here is a network marketer that is consistent in his actions every day and had shown to be a proven leader in the industry.

So what did I learn from Ray? Made this quick video to share with you.  Powerful stuff.

3 Blog Secrets…. I’m telling

Blog Secret #1

Free is the most expensive way to build your business. You can “free” yourself to the freaking poor house.

I know and you know that there is tons of free information out there. You can learn to build your blog for free, you can learn to do a lot of stuff for free. The down side is that you are wasting valuable time and money. You need to put your efforts into what is going to make you money. If you get caught up in all the free learning and trying to do it all yourself, you are probably not making any money in your business.

Be willing to outsource what you don’t want to learn or just don’t have time for. Dedicate yourself to the tasks that you enjoy and that make you money.  Heck for my blog I outsource all the graphic work. Yes, I could do it myself but I just don’t want to waste my time doing it when there are people that can do it better than me.

Blog Secret #2

Being consistent in your efforts.

Even I am guilty of not following this rule. I have been know to start something and then just stop. Not a good way to do business. It would be like owning a restaurant and not being consistent when I was open for business. One day I could be open, the next I could be closed. If you don’t know when I am doing business, you will never show up to my restaurant. I will go out of business fast!

So in being consistent I invite people to learn more about my business online. When I share information for free that most people would pay to learn, I am adding value.

If you are just learning how to blog, make sure you are consistent. It could be one post a week or a post a day. It is up to you. You just have to be consistent.

Blog Secret #3

Your blog is not complete after you hit the publish button.

Now it is time to go out and share that you just did a post. This is what Ray does and I think it is a good idea to do what the top leader does.

Where do you post your blog?

  • Facebook Fan page
  • Facebook Personal Page
  • Google+
  • Pintrest – in a related category for your boards
  • Email it out to your email list

So simple and yet Ray is getting tons of traffic. His gift is giving value and sharing what works. An inspiration to follow.

Bonus Blog Secret! Where to find content!

Ray revealed that his favorite places to find content for his blog are on BetterNetworker.com and the What’s Working Now News Letter

Both are valuable resources. If you are a network marketer I do recommend both!

Thanks for hanging out with me today on my blog! Looking forward to your comments and reaction to this post!

Yours in Gratitude,

It’s true that consitency is key. Your audience will always look forward to what you have to write about if you do it in a regular basis. Thanks for these tips, certainly something to be reminded of in blogging.

Thanks for telling us what Ray Higdon revealed. I plead being guilty of all 3, at least at times but they are all good goals to strive for.

Hey Pat. Don’t worry I fall off the wagon too. It just makes up human. Thank you for taking time to comment and read this post. Have a beautiful day.

Good solid advice for any blogger. #3 is probably the most ignored. I had a boss many years ago who told me, “if you aren’t willing to toot your own horn, why should you expect anyone else to do it for you?” I’ve always remembered that when I’ve been hesitant to promote myself.

      • Katrina

Agree, If you are not proud of what you are writing, why should anyone else. You have to self promote. We do it every day. Thank you for sharing!

Great information. Never rely on others to spread the news about your posts. I agree that you have to market your work so that other people can read it. Thank you for the great tips.

      • Katrina

Hey Christy, I agree, we do need to be willing to market ourselves. I just did a post today about self doubt and feeling unworthy. Those both play into why we fear to promote ourselves. Great comment! Have a beautiful day.
