I will be the first to admit, I have been looking for a plugin for list building for a while.
I had stumbled across a few that were recommended but nothing really made me click the buy button until I saw this plugin at work.
As you know, one of the key ingredients to blogging is building your list. You use your blog to create value, training, and relationships with your readers. If they like what they read they may optin to get updates on your blog or purchase a product that you recommend.
So making sure you give your readers a place to optin is crucial for your success as a blogger. (okay so there are a few more things but I am not going into detail in today’s post.)
Now I will be the first to admit, this plugin that I am about to reveal is kick-ass and I wish I had taken action sooner to add it to my blog… but when the timing is right that is usually when you need something.
Without further delay let me introduce to you….
Thrive Leads Plugin
Honestly one of my favorite plugins that I have added to my blog is Thrive Leads.
With this plugin you can create any type of optin from lightbox, ribbon, widget, and even in text offers. Plus having the ability to split test them is amazing.
This simple plugin for building your list is crucial if you are a blogger.
I love the ease of creating the optins. A simple drag and drop format makes it a breeze to get you first lead magnet up and running in just a few minutes.
Clarifying Optin Lingo
I just want to make it clear that there are many different terms for Optin and they all mean the same thing.
- Lead Magnet – a free offer presented to get an email address
- Capture Page – a free offer presented to get an email address
- Landing Page – a free offer presented to get an email address
- Bribe – a free offer presented to get an email address
- Lightbox – free offer presented to get an email address
- Ribbon – free offer presented to get an email address
Do you get what I am sharing? You can call it whatever you like but at the end of the day, the purpose is to get the email address to build the relationship and market to your list. Which is why I love this Thrive Leads plugin.
Traffic is nothing more than presenting your offer to as many eyeballs as possible with the intent of getting them on your email list.
In no way shape or form is email marketing dead. It is still one of the most viable tools for building your audience. Don’t believe me… check your email and share how many lists you are on for restaurants, stores, schools, banks, and the list goes on.
Email is not going away, it’s the digital address you have online. Back in the day, we sent offers to your mailbox, today we send offers to your digital mailbox.
At the end of the day you need to be building a list and if you don’t already have an autoresponder to help capture email addresses, I highly recommend Aweber. It is easy to use and if you ever have questions about how to use it, I have some training I can share with you.
So to wrap up today’s blog post there are two things you need to build your audience with your blog.
Together you have two of the most important ingredients for building your list online.
Did you get value from today’s blog post? If you did please consider sharing on your social media.
Truly appreciate you and look forward to seeing your comments below!
