For the most part this is true… but the list has come a long way over the years.
What we think of when we hear our upline tells us to write down a list of people we know… we think this is our list.
But this is not longer true… let me explain.
The Evolution of The List
What we are taught when we join a MLM about list building has changed dramatically over the last few years.
What were once prized lists… have started to fade… or have they…
- Address – The first from of marketing began with mail
- Phone – A prized list because you could speak to people over the phone
- Email – Still a powerful way to build a business
- Social Media – A fan based list
This idea of a list has become much broader than what we are taught by our MLM companies.
With the easy access of the internet and mobile devices, people are flocking to the internet for advice, reviews, training, and so much more.
Here, let me explain.

Social Media is now a list that you can be building. A list that allows you to take cold market and turn it into a warm market with just a few dollars a day.
How to Build Your Social Media List
Now more that ever, it is crucial for you to be building your social media lists.
But before you dive in and start branding your MLM…. STOP!!!
Your network marketing company already has a brand… they don’t need you to duplicate it. Your job is to build YOU, INC!
Start standing out from the crowd and start building your brand. Become a value leader. Help others learn more about your MLM and how you can help give them the tools for success.
One of my favorite tools for lead generation for my MLM is Attraction Marketing Formula. I average 2-5 leads a day because of this course.
One of the fastest ways to build your brand is through Facebook. Having spoken with top industry leaders they said you should be building your Fan Page.
Right now I am running a $2 a day Facebook Like Campaign to grow my fan page. That’s it.

So far these little five post have helped me increase my page and the fan pages of my coaching clients.
Social media is so much more than posting your daily activities… it is an amazing business tool when used correctly.
So when your upline says that you should be writing the list of people to prospect.. don’t forget the power of social media. It will change the way you do business forever.
