Importance of Keywords in Your Blog

keyword plannerWhy are keywords important when you blog? In order to get ranked on Google you need to understand how keywords work.

What is a Keyword?

A keyword is what is being searched on the web. It could be a word or a phrase. If you are looking for a mlm company you would use the name of that company. The company name is the keyword.

So when you start to create your blog think about what you want to write about. Then start to figure our what keywords you want to write about. It is important to have a cohesive blog, keep with your theme and know your audience.

Tool for Keyword Search

The best tool on the internet for finding keywords is Google AdWords: Keyword Planner.

Use this link to help you discover keywords. Enter in a phrase or a word and find out if it is something people are searching for. Note that words that are ranked high are going to be more difficult to rank with. These tend to have a high search but are also used by a lot of people, meaning your post may never been seen.
