Finding A Mentor Online

Finding a mentor online can be a bit daunting. With everyone claiming that they can help you grow your business, who do you turn to?

First off I would like to say that finding a mentor online or off line is crucial to the success of anyone looking to build a business.

My mentor Tim Erway says, “Find someone that has what you want, do what they do, and you will get what you want.”

So what does this look like?

1. The first thing you have to do is find someone that has what you want.

What do you want to achieve with your life? What kind of lifestyle do you want?

If you want to be a successful online marketer, find a successful online marketer to be your mentor.

If you want to build a multiple figure MLM business, find a mentor that has done that.

2. Find out how they build their business. What steps did they take to get where they are at?

If they built their business by blogging… then learn to blog.

If they built their business with facebook marketing… study facebook marketing

3. Get what you want

Help others. Once you have learned a skill, you need to share it with others. In doing this you are building your brand and relationships with your fans. You will get what you want.

Finding a Mentor Online

Finding a mentor online is easier than you think. But do you due diligence to make sure they’re the right mentor for you.

One of the first live generic internet marketing events I attended there were 15 speakers. When the MC took the stage, one of the first things he said was, “you will hear from many speakers over the next 2 days. But only one will resonate with you. How they build their business and the method they used. Find that person and put blinders on.”

This advice has stayed with me for years.

Once you decide to have someone be your mentor, put blinders on. Don’t be distracted by all the other training, courses, and what-not out there. It will be there tomorrow and in a year from now.

It’s time to focus on you. It’s time for you to learn a new skill. So focus on learning that skill. If your mentor offers coaching, jump on it. If your mentor has any courses, purchase them. Emerse yourself in their training.

Any good mentor will guide you and show you the exact path to success.

There are many ways to build a network marketing business. And there are many network marketing business’ that you will find great mentors in.

BUT…

What if you are in a network marketing company that you love… and there is no one building their business the way you want to?

I got involved in my MLM about 7 years ago. At the time that I started there wasn’t a soul that was using the internet the way we can today to build our business.

I was lucky that I stumbled across the teaching of Mike Dillard and his book, Magnetic Sponsoring: How To Attract Endless New Leads And Distributors To You Automatically.

Though I understood the teachings found inside this book, I had large gaps in my education. I didn’t have the basic understanding of how to use the internet to build my business. And that is where Attraction Marketing Formula came into play.

This took Mike’s teaching and turned them into actionable items. That little tweak made all the difference in the world to my online business. That and finding a mentor and coach,Tim Erway to help keep me on course.

You don’t have to have a mentor in your specific MLM to get the help you need to grow yours. Some of the top MLM distributors I know, are not in my company… but they have shown me how to build my business and for that I am grateful for their mentoring.
