Facebook WorkshopHow do you increase your organic reach on Facebook? Is it dead?

On Wednesday I taught a Facebook Workshop here in the Windermere, FL area. This workshop sold out and I had the opportunity to work with some amazing small business owners.

Learning the difference between being on Facebook and using Facebook to build your business is something most small business owners struggle with.

Why? Because it about learning how to market and sell to people in a social way. It’s kinda like learning a new language.

I always begin my workshops by asking, “What is Facebook?” & “What do you want to learn about Facebook?”

This presents some interesting conversation and allows me to tailor the information to those attending my Facebook workshops.

One of the questions that came up is… “Is organic reach dead?”

Is Organic Reach Dead on Facebook?

Yes and No is my answer. Facebook likes to change the rules from time to time. They are always testing and learning from those that use the platform.

Right now the big push is video. Images and posts are getting significantly less organic reach. If you want Facebook to give you some love… Do video.

So we did a test. I did a quick video during the workshop and posted it to my Facebook Page… This is what happened in just 24 hours. I even share a little inside secret to increase organic reach. You’re going to love this.

Pretty crazy right?

What makes this video engaging is two things…

1. It was taken in the moment with a direct call to action.
2. The headline was engaging… “Need Help…”

Also commenting on the comments and creating even more engagement kept bumming this video up and showing it to even more people.

As we talked about in the workship, Facebook is about building relationships and communication. The business that does this the best… Wins!

What most small businesses fail to do, including myself, is post for the purpose of the customer. Make it about them and how to serve them better. Build a Facebook Page on training, education, engagement, and solving the problems or fears that your customer has.

We shared a lot of tips and secrets inside this Facebook 101 for Small Business. If you are in the area and want to attend one of my workshops… Subscribe to my events on my Facebook Page.

I hope you got value from this test and insight. If you have questions or comments, please share them below. Love hearing from you.
