Follow Up They Easy WayHow many times has your upline or MLM company said, “Follow Up Is Key!” or “The Money Is In The Follow Up.”

It took me 7 years and today to realized that follow up is absolutely without a doubt key.

But I will say this… “I hate follow up.” or at least I did.

It is the most dreaded activity for most network marketers. Why?

Because it feels like you are chasing people down. The follow up of old was to call your prospect every few days.

Calling people and trying to convince them to join your opportunity for many of us, myself included, felt like harassment.

I didn’t want my family and friends avoiding my phone calls because I was told by my upline to “follow up.”

There had to be an easier and better way!

21st Century Follow Up

Welcome to the age of internet marketing. We are now deeply involved in a technology world. We have access to resources faster than every before.

You talk to a prospect today and they go to the computer or phone, do research and based on that… decided whether or not to join your team.

The internet can either help your or hinder you in your MLM business. You have to choose which.

If you decided to embrace the internet and become a student of some very basic principles of marketing. You can absolutely without a doubt build bigger and faster than ever before.

Old School Teaching: Write a list of 100 people you know. Then call them.

New School Teaching: Create a capture page that builds your list of targeted prospects. Call them.

Which one is better? Only you know the answer to that.

New School Follow Up

If you choose new school follow up, you have some learning to do. The online university that trained me in all things marketing was Elite Marketing Pro. Hands down THE best and most complete training resource you can get your hands on.

I have clients that have paid 20K-30K to only receive one tenth of the education found inside Elite Marketing Pro. The ridiculously low price of this system still floors me today.

But what you will learn is how to create the capture page to target people that want to join your opportunity. And you also create follow up that is non intrusive and fun.

Here… Let me show you…

As you can see, this is a much more targeted way to get leads that are looking for your opportunity. Plus having the ability to follow up via email or phone makes rejection free recruiting a reality.

You will only be talking to those pre-qualified to join your business.

I don’t know about you, but this is my perferred way of building my business. And so far it is working. Over the past 2 months I have brought in 3 new distributors. Something I haven’t done in years. They only thing that changed for me… Using a capture page.

Now I can send emails about training, stories, and prizes. I can share with them my story and introduce them to others.

Heck, I even went on to create a Google+ community for my team so that I can continue to educated and train them. You can check out the training post I did on that here.

How Long Should Follow Up Last?

I have had people join me in my opportunity after a year of being on my list. When the time is right for them, is when people join.

So make it a point to email your list. If there is company training, new promotion, or special offer. Having that list allows you to communicate with them for a very long time.

New product launches… someone on your team moves up in rank.

Having this targeted list and engaging with them is going to be in growing your business.

My recommendation to you. Stop sending people to your company replicated website and start sending people to your capture page. Discover who is really interested in joining you in your business.

Fear of the phone is something I see so many people fail because of. The solution you provide is a very good answer to someone who could be suffering from phonephobia! And what is even more amazing than your article on this, is I made the word phonephobia up and it is not showing me as a misspelled word, so it must be a real word, I did not realize that! Great content as always Katrina, look forward to more soon!

    • I must say this is my next step. Creating the follow up for those interested in my opportunity. You know when you hear something often enough it gets into your brain as an action item. Well your post today did that for me.
      Thanks Chef Katrina!

This was a lot of fun to do, and helped me put some clarity on what people need to see next. Let me know if you have any questions Hilary!

    • Katrina, I’m visiting from the UBC again. I love this post, even though I’m not in network marketing. The main principles apply to every solopreneur: create a capture page and stay in touch with your potential and current clients I feel more motivated now! Thanks for a wonderful article.

Great strategy for following up on leads, Katrina! Next month, I’ll be working on my landing page or capture page to drive people to my subscriber list. I’m not one to call up people on the phone, but sometimes we have to perform those uncomfortable tasks that will drive our business to the next level. I’m up for it!

Welcome back Aletha! I agree, calling can be the hard part. But having that contact makes doing business that much easier. Let me know if you have any questions on building your landing page. Have fun and I look forward to seeing you here again!
