Shareaholic pluginShareaholic! The social media plugin in most commonly used by bloggers… and they are not using it correctly!

As a self hosted blogger, plugins become our best friend. There are thousands of them out there that we can use.

For the past month I have been part of the Ultimate Blog Challenge. A great way to get engagement on your blog and meet other bloggers.

I love the support of this blogging event. It happens 4 times a year and we are about to wrap up the month of January.

But here is my beef….

Many of these bloggers are using a fantastic plugin called Shareaholic and are using it incorrectly!

It is driving me batty every time I see someone using it and not using it the right way. I just want to call them up and say hey… can I help you out?

If you are using this plugin and are reading this… I pray that you are using this plugin to it’s full advantage!

But for the most part I just don’t think you know what you can do with this plugin!

Here…. let me show you!

Using Shareholic Plugin

Giddy as a kid in a candy store… I love this Shareaholic plugin.

This plugin lets you brand yourself like no other plugin. I love it! So let me show you some really cool things that you should be doing with this plugin.

So what did you think?

My two sticking points for those that use the Shareaholic plugin are the Twitter handle and the social media share buttons.

Plus the added branding that takes place after someone shares your content! HOLY COW this is huge. Yet I see so many that don’t take advantage of this extra branding real estate.

Shareaholic

I truly believe this plugin is aptly named. Your readers should become shareaholics. You want to make sure your readers share and that they have a way to engage with you beyond your blog.

The ability to create multiple layers of engagement is huge. Getting your fans to connect with you elsewhere allows you to build trust and to let them know when you post next.

As a blogger I am always looking for ways to grow my following and engage with my readers. This plugin is fantastic for engagement and being able to know where your traffic is coming from. Plus the search engines give you higher ranking for content sharing. If your readers are sharing your content… then it must be good.

So as I stated in the video, make sure you are including share buttons beyond your social platforms and include ones that your readers might be on also.

I truly hope you got a ton of value out of today’s blog post. If you did please leave a comment below.

If you know of anyone that would benefit from the training on shareaholic please share this post with them using the social icons below or to the left.

Yours in Gratitude,

Chef Katrina van Oudheusden

I’ve used Shareaholic before and it’s a great plugin and a great way to get people to share your content. Definitely need to have the most popular social media buttons ready ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Paulette, I do get the comment from my bloggers… but I am only active on one social media site? Let your readers decided where they want to share is what I tell them. LOL. What social media share plugin are you currently using?
