Best Way of Branding Yourself
Ever have a burger? Where do you go to get the best burger in town? Why do you go there?
These are questions similar to what you should be asking yourself as you build your brand online. Network Marketers are a dime a dozen. If you don’t believe me, ask yourself how many distributors or independent reps are in your network marketing company. I am sure the number is somewhere in the thousands. So what makes you so special? What makes people want to be on your team and work with you?
We all know that we should sell the dream. You know the one about financial freedom, health, lifestyle, and time freedom. The one you are striving for right now. The dream that will have you firing your boss and leading the life of luxury. We all know it is possible. We watch top leads in our companies achieve such feats. We carry the hope and dream that we can be that successful also. Heck even making a couple hundred bucks a month would help most people.
So back to the question at hand… what is the best way to brand yourself?
In the video I talk about 3 strategies you must have in play to help with branding yourself. Just like restaurants use branding to stand out, you too need to use branding to help build your business and stand out.
- Invest in Your Education – As a chef I continually invest in my education with books and learning from other Chefs. For you as a network marketer, you need to invest in your education and learn from other leaders online. I highly recommend reading Magnetic Sponsoring if you are serious about building your brand. I would also recommend you follow the example of top industry leaders within your own company and outside your company. I follow leaders like Ray Hidgon, Michelle Pescosolido, Tim Erway, and many others. Find a leader you relate to and copy what they do. Ask them questions and learn from them. They are more than willing to share their knowledge with you, all you have to do is ask.
- Lead with Value – Most of us are taught to lead with our business or product but 90% of people will say no to both. What if you could reduce that percentage significantly? To do that, lead with value. Share what you are learning with your team. If you are investing in your education, take what you are learning and share that with your team. Show them that you care about them. People love to learn from people they know, like, and trust. Become a valued resource.
- Build a community – The most successful leaders build a community for their downline and their downlines, downline. You will find that once you begin sharing what you learn and get your team to start investing in themselves, different talents are going to emerge. Now you have a team that is helping and empowering each other. All you had to do was create it. Your team will do the rest. Your leaders will emerge.
Without you even knowing it… your brand was built. All because you decided to provide value and help others, your brand as a leader was created. This is why I see more and more people just using their name to build their brand. You will be known for giving and people will call you by name, not by your company.
Branding yourself has nothing to do with you but more about how you help and empower others. Your brand is who you decided to become. I look forward to seeing your name in lights! Now go out and increase your value and in turn you will help the process of branding yourself.
