Dominate Your NicheCompletely dominate your niche online with these 8 ingredients to online marketing.

Yesterday I talked about the power of building Instant Authority with Google. How you can use Google to get prospects to join your business and buy your products. This simple, yet often over looked ingredient can be the difference between people joining your business or running away from you and your business.

It is a powerful yet simple technique and I hope you implemented it because it leads into today’s post on the 8 Ingredients to Dominate Your Niche online.

Today you are going to learn how to control the top 10 search results for your name, brand and anything else associated with you to make sure you don’t lose new potential sales and reps. It’s time you learned how to dominate your niche.

8 Ingredients to Dominate Your Niche

For most of us in the network marketing space, your brand should be you. You are the key ingredient to building your business. Why should people join you? What value do you offer to your new reps or customers?

So the next 8 ingredients are going to talk about self branding…. You may want to take notes.

1st Ingredient: Register YOUR name as a domain name if possible.

If your name is pretty common or already taken then you can do something like:

  1. Who Is Your Name
  2. Work With Your Name
  3. Join-First Name
  4. Meet Your Name

As long as the domain includes your name you will be fine. Also look to register the name of any brand, system, or product that your name may be associated with. Personally, I recommend JustHost.com for domain registration and hosting, because it is cheap and easy with amazing customer service.

2nd Ingredient: Get Your Website Up

I recommend using JustHost.com because of the simple 1-click set up of WordPress that you will need to install on your site. JustHost is also a bloggers platform with amazing tools for future growth of your website.

Find a niche theme for your site and customize the header graphic for it. I recommend checking out wordpress.org/themes for tons of free theme templates. Make sure that the theme is responsive, meaning it will size for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

This is a key ingredient that Google looks for in how to rank your site. If you are not using a responsive theme or mobile friendly site, Google will bury your site.

Organize your website according to categories related to YOU. For example my website is organized like this:

  • TheChefKatrina.com
    • About Chef
    • Trusted Resources
    • Join Katrina
    • Coaching
    • 29 Minute Hangout
    • Blogging Tips
    • Social Marketing
      • Google+
      • Facebook Marketing
      • Video Marketing
      • Pintrest
      • Twitter Marketing
    • Reliv (my MLM)
    • MLM Leaders
      • Books/Quotes
      • Millionaire Mindset
    • Recommended Training

However, you might want to keep your site simple:

  • Your Name.com
    • About Me
    • Product Name and related articles, video, etc
    • Marketing System Name and related article, video, etc.
    • Company Name and related articles, video, etc

3rd Ingredient: Implement Basic On-Page SEO

  1. Use your name in the Title Tag and Meta Description for the Home page and About Me page. Don’t spam or stuff keywords! (big no, no!)
  2. Use relevant keywords in Title Tags and Meta Description on each page of your website.
  3. All Title Tags and Meta Descriptions should be unique to each page.

What you have to remember is that Google ranks individual pages and posts, not websites. This is how you can get multiple rankings for many different keywords using your website.

4th Ingredient: Intra Linking – Linking Within Your Website

If you are going to mention your name or brand in any of your articles, it would be a good idea to occasionally turn the text containing your name into a link and pointing it back to either:

  • Homepage of your personal site
  • About me page of your personal site
  • Link to your social media profiles with your name as anchor text.

By linking to the homepage and the about me page in this manner, Google will assume that there are 2 important pages on your site related to “YourName”.

5th Ingredient: Create Accounts with These Social Media Sites

  • Google+ Profile
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter
  • Pintrest
  • YouTube
  • Instagram

Use the same name that you have chosen for your website. This is called “Brand Consistency”. You want to dominate your niche, you have to have consistency in website and social media.

6th Ingredient: Link Back To Your Website from Social Media

After you have created your profiles on the sites listed above, make sure you include your website. Any mention of your name should be turned into a link and directed back to your website.

Publish CONTENT on social sites, such as articles, video, etc. Any mention of your name should also be turned into a link leading back to your website.

You want to create a web of links between your social media and your website. Make sure you are consistent with this and do it with all your social media.

Dominate Your Niche Image

The results of all these steps will be not only your website/blog ranking for your name, but all your about me pages will rank in the Top 10 and social media profiles will rank, giving you full control over the conversation which is being had about you.

This will also increase exposure to any of the keywords related to your products, systems and company.

7th Ingredient: Rinse and Repeat

Repeat this process for any keywords that you want associated with your brand. Whether it be for your companies products or opportunity.

Make sure you are linking back to your website and this is how you can rank for multiple keywords. Powerful.

8th Ingredient: World Is Your Ocean

Once you understand how valuable it is to control your name and your brand, how valuable would it be for you to control:

  • MLM Company Name?
  • Affiliate Product Name?
  • MLM Training System Name?
  • MLM Marketing System Name?
  • ETC

The people that are searching these terms are BUYERS!  They are compelled to buy the product or join the business, but are doing some last minute research or even looking for a sponsor in that particular team or company.

If you know what people are looking for, Keyword Training, then you are going to blow your competition out of the water.

You can dominate your niche or any niche with what you have just learned here in today’s blog post. These are some of the biggest secrets in online marketing. It will take some work to set up, but once you have it all in place, it is automated for as long as you stay consistent and own your brand.

If any of this seemed over your head and you would like further training, I highly recommend you grab my blogging course, Blogging Ingredients.

If this was valuable to you, please share on your favorite social media site! You Rock!

My best tip is to pick a niche that you actually CAN dominate. Some niches are so overly competitive, with tons of deep pocket players, that it almost isn’t worth messing with. Go after the longtail an find a nice sub-niche that you can win. It’s better to be a big fish in a small pond than a minnow in the ocean. Just my thoughts.
