Yesterday I was at the bookstore and stumbled across a book called the “Go Givers Sell More“.
A fascinating book about how giving can actually help you create more abundance and make more sells.
This book is based on 5 Laws of Success and I am applying these laws to the home business industry.
I truly believe with ever fiber of my being, that if you can provide amazing service and value, you will create a six-figure business. So today I want to share these 5 Laws of Success with you and give you examples of how they can be put into practice with your business.
The 5 Laws of Success
Every Tuesday I do a motivational call hosted by Elite Marketing Pro called the Daily Dose of Awesome. On today’s call I speak about these 5 Laws of Success and how to use them in your home business.
#1 The Law of Value:
Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
An example of this would be Elite Marketing Pro. A marketing system that teaches, inspires, and empowers small business owners with the skill to market their business. This is a marketing system the provides you with a capture page builder, done for you blog, traffic training, email marketing training, and so much more.
This is one of the most complete and comprehensive online marketing training systems you can get your hands on today. But that wasn’t enough for Elite Marketing Pro.
They added Ignition Coaching. A 12-step training plus LIVE one to one coaching program is offered to every member of the Elite Marketing Pro system.
This is the law of value at work. Not only are they bent on helping home business owners succeed but they give you the tools and resources to make it happen. This is one marketing company that constantly over delivers and adds tons of value to their customers.
#2 The Law of Compensation
Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
A reminder of my time at Walt Disney World. Walt’s biggest dream was to provide a place for families to play together. At his core he knew that if you took care of your employees they would in turn take care of the guests.
For 12 years it was drilled into me to always provide outstanding service. To empathize, listen, and respond to guests. One of the key components of my success online is my ability to over deliver. It’s not bragging but an honest insight in what I do.
When I promote a product or service, I don’t just stop there. I reach out and create resources or communities to help those that purchase these products succeed. It’s pointless to purchase a training product on marketing, if you have no one to show you how to implement it for YOUR business.
That is how EMP Team on Fire came to be. An elite mastermind group of leaders that are learning how to market to grow and strength the economy around them. Empowering them with the skills and mindset to make a difference in the world.
#3 Law of Influence
Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interest first.
It’s not about you.
It’s not about your wants or needs.
It’s about listening to your customer and recommending a product or service that best fits their needs.
Some of the best advice I have ever received is… ask questions, ask questions, ask questions, and listen. You can impact so many lives if you are willing to listen to people. A great book to read is How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
#4 The Law of Authenticity
The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
From childhood to adulthood we may have heard… Why don’t you act more like _____ (fill in the blank), your sister, your brother, this person, that person….
We get online and we try to be like those ahead of us. We compare our beginning to their middle and wonder why we aren’t doing better. We try to copy sounds, writing styles, and so much more.
What you need to do is be authentic to yourself. What do you stand for? What are you against? Have an opinion. Be willing to practice both attraction marketing and repulsion marketing.
The more authentic and real you are with your audience, leads, and customers, the more you will attract the right people to your business.
Don’t be like others. Be yourself.
#5 The Law of Recetpivity
The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.
One of my biggest struggles is being open to receiving.
It’s easy to give, when you put your mind to it. It’s easy to help and empower others. But when it comes time for asking for help… I clam up and hide in my shell.
I am always telling my students… ask for help, put yourself out there, be bold and yet at times I feel like I should be saying that to myself also. When you open yourself up to receiving, good things begin to happen. These good thing begin to happen faster also.
As a mentor of mine once told me, “What you want in life, wants you also.” What is really holding most of us back is fear. Fear of success. Fear of judgment. Fear of the unknown. Fear of Failing. Fear of Life Changing.
Maybe is doubt in your abilities. Maybe is growing to quickly and not knowing if you will have the resources to help you out.
I am sure we have both heard this once or twice, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
So I leave you with this…
If you are a small business owner, sit down, grab a pen & paper and write down what value you bring to your industry. What might you do to serve more people? How might you influence more people? How might you become more authentic?
I truly believe that any home business that follows these simple, timeless, laws of success will achieve success in their business.

I really like the soundcloud clip. I have used them a time or two on my blog. My latest post has one. It’s a good way to share the value on a blog, and I listened to it. Glad I stopped by again, and congrats on the No Excuses speech!
Thank you Jaye! Soundcloud is new to me, but I am loving what we can do with it in terms of sharing! Excited to hear that you are using it also.
